Living for Jesus frees us to discover and do His will by following the leading of both His Word and His Spirit.

 

When it comes to seeking, knowing, and following the will of God, He has given to us two wonderful tools: the Word of truth from His mouth and His very Presence. To every believer and every church God has provided these special Gifts, and as His disciples are guided by both, there is freedom to go in a truly unique direction that God has laid out for them alone.

 

Although MCC is clear about her mission to make and mature disciples of Jesus, our steps in that direction are not always as clearly marked. But as we keep moving forward, the Holy Spirit and the words of Scripture keep us on the path that God has marked out for us. No, it may not be the same as the one marked out for another body of believers, but knowing that God is the One directing us allows us to feel the freedom of being ourselves, doing what He has made us to do.
