Life Choices is a local ministry serving those who are needing assistance navigating the challenges and decisions that accompany an unexpected pregnancy. There are a wide variety of areas in which you might volunteer, and training is available.

Shepherd's Hand
Shepherd's Hand is a local non-profit dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals and families in the Montrose community. In addition to providing meals and food pantry items, they also have restrooms, shower, and laundry facilities available for those in need. There is a wide variety of ways within this ministry for you to join hands in meeting the needs of our community.
Good News Jail
& Prison Ministry
In an effort to meet the spiritual needs of inmates and the staff working with them, this ministry works to place chaplains in the local jails and prisons to evangelize, disciple, teach, comfort, and listen. There are opportunities to serve as Life Learning Instructors, mentors, Bible study leaders and special event workers as well.

Charis Prison Ministry International
The Charis Prison Ministry provides a short course in Christianity through regular 3-day retreats in the nearby Delta Correctional Facility in Delta, Colorado. Following each retreat, the participating team members follow up monthly with the inmates for the purpose of further discipleship and encouragement.

Montrose Lighthouse Ministries
Montrose Lighthouse Ministries serves the local homeless population by providing shelter along with some meals and transportation. MLM is in need of a reserve of volunteer cooks and drivers.
Sharing Ministries Food Bank
Sharing Ministries is a faith-based, non-denominational, non-profit food bank. Their mission is to provide nutritious food to those in need while facilitating education about healthy living and a connection to other community resources.
People from MCC are currently involved by making weekly deliveries of boxes to those who are physically unable to go to the food bank to pick up their boxes.
Haven House
Haven House provides transitional and transformational housing for homeless families with children in a faith-based environment. Local volunteers are utilized to help with enrichment programs such as developing parenting skills, conflict and anger management, budgeting, nutrition and cooking, and children's programs.
180 Ministries
180 Ministries works with women, and women with a child or children, who are caught in a cycle of substance abuse and dysfunction, to help them have the opportunity to experience recovery, hope, and a promising future.
