Dedicated to a Simple Focus on Relationships

Living for Jesus motivates us to prioritize everyday relationships over programs and facilities in order to experience meaningful life change.

Here at MCC we are convinced that life change happens best within the context of relationships with other people. Although programs and facilities can serve as helpful discipleship tools, their value is limited to a relatively short period of time. People, however, have eternal value. For this reason we seek to place great emphasis and priority upon the development of relationships.

This is one of the most visible parts of MCC’s DNA as it can be seen regularly happening in the gathering of many small groups. It is within these small groups that people connect through Bible study, ministry to the needs around them, and the caring concern for each other’s well-being. You will also find that it is within these relationships that mutual support, loving accountability, and spiritual growth are made possible.

Whether you choose to become a part of MCC or another fellowship of Christ’s disciples, we want to strongly encourage you to get involved in some sort of small group. As you continue on your quest to become more like Jesus, take advantage of such opportunities to develop personal relationships with others who are also walking the same path.

“Jesus replied, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first a greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Matthew 22:37-40
